When Dr. Christine Pickup opened the practice, she wasn't backed by a large healthcare system or corporate investment. She started with a small loan from her grandparents, borrowed equipment from her mentor in Logan, Utah, and a determination to bring exceptional hearing care to the Magic Valley. In those early days, she balanced seeing patients while raising her children. If you called the office, there was a good chance Dr. Pickup answered the phone herself—even if she was in the middle of a grocery run.

What began as a one-person practice has grown into a dedicated team of six full-time and one part-time professionals, but the heart of Mt. Harrison Audiology has never changed.

As the practice has grown, so have the services we provide. By listening to the needs of our community, we've expanded beyond traditional hearing evaluations and hearing aids to offer pediatric audiology, infant hearing services, auditory processing evaluations, cochlear implant support, balance and vestibular testing, comprehensive tinnitus care, and more. Our goal has always been to ensure that individuals and families can find the specialized hearing and balance care they need close to home.

Today, Dr. Pickup's curiosity, commitment to lifelong learning, and genuine compassion continue to shape every aspect of the practice. We believe the best care starts by listening—to your concerns, your goals, and your story—and partnering with you to find the right solution for your life.
